How do you handle power and influence for the good of others?

Scott’s career has spanned more than 30 years in politics, communications and financial services. He started working in Parliament as a researcher in the 1990’s during a time of significant political and electoral reform. A stint in local government saw him managing the mayor of Auckland’s office. He was Government Relations Manager for the BNZ during the GFC and has been involved in developing a variety of financial reform and remediation policy packages. He has also managed a New Zealand review of retirement income policies that resulted in multiple recommendations being adopted by the government. Scott has worked at the Financial Markets Authority for the last eight years and is currently Chief of Staff.

Outside of work Scott is active in his local church and is a volunteer prison chaplain. He has been married for 26 years and has four children.

Join us for an interview as Scott unpacks some of the lessons he has learnt in his various roles and how his faith in Jesus shapes how he lives and leads.

Conversation Evenings offer perspectives on integrating the personal, professional and spiritual aspects of life.
